A great list from Tripwire Magazine: 10+ Best Free or Open Source Photoshop Alternative Software

Lars from Tripwire Magazine deserves a hug. Lars deserves a hug for the next month.

This past week I was poking around online, looking for any serial numbers that needed a new home or a new purpose… you know, a purpose of making something work beyond a 30 day trial period, a purpose of giving life to a rather popular piece of software that is protected and guarded rather ferociously from people who’d like to “get the milk for free”.

After sifting through pages of potential numbers that might need adoption I came across a link that led me to a more honest path; I have Lars to thank for keeping me on this honest path.

Lars is the author of “10+ Best Free or Open Source Photoshop Alternative Software” on Tripwire Magazine. This is a great list complete with lovely pictures. I’m now quite a fan of Pixlr.

If you do have some nagging tug of morality that you can’t wash off or block out I encourage you to take a little trip over to this list. http://www.tripwiremagazine.com/2011/04/10-best-free-or-open-source-photoshop-alternative-software.html

And thank Lars.

Indie Slate issue #59

It’s out! The article on The Grover Complex that I wrote for Indie Slate magazine is now in stores.

The article looks great thanks to the pictures taken by Dan Blanchett. If you’re in the LA area the magazine should be available at most newsstands and book stores. Through the greater US and Canada you can find the magazine at Borders and Barnes and Noble. If it’s not in your particular store you can order through the magazine’s website www.indieslate.com

We’re so happy to have a “Reel Life Story” on our film in Indie Slate as we work hard to spread the Grover word.

The best to all this holiday season!
